SDS Graduate Student & QTRL Research Assistant Chido Muchemwa Awarded Grand Prize in the 2022 Bridge Prize

QTRL 2021-22 graduate research assistant Chido Muchemwa has won the grand prize in the 2022 Bridge Prize for her short story, If It Wasn’t for the Nights. The Bridge Prize is a competition celebrating excellence in short story fiction writing at the post-secondary level in Canada; it is presented by the School of Liberal Education at the University of Lethbridge and awards $7,500 to the winning student. Along with being a doctoral candidate in the SDS program, Chido was part of the Queer and Trans Research Lab’s inaugural cohort last year and worked with faculty fellow Jordache Ellapen.
