Queer and Trans Research Lab (QTRL) Research Assistantships

Applications are currently OPEN – Due March 23, 2026

The Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies is now looking to fill the Undergraduate Research Assistantship positions at the Queer and Trans Research Lab (QTRL) for the 2026-2027 school year. The program will provide up to 10 research assistantships to students in SDS!

The RAships are designed to provide training to our students in research methods and practices, social justice collaborations, and community outreach initiatives. RAs are expected to be active members of the lab and are asked to participate in a variety of events, such as workshops, panels, and QTRL meetings. RAs will be assigned to one of the fellows of the QTRL cohort and will work with them closely on their projects. Students are expected to be full-time during the time of the assistantship. Each RA will receive a stipend of $5,000. The assistantships will take place from September 2026 – April 2027.
