Rajorshi Das

Rajorshi Das (they/them) is the undergraduate coordinator and the Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies, University of Toronto. They defended their PhD dissertation, “Messy trans and queer storytelling: (un)doing Indian exceptionalism” (2025) at the University of Iowa. Their recent research articles can be found in GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies (2025) and Interventions: An International Journal of Postcolonial Studies (2024). Rajorshi is also a published poet with works appearing in anthologies like If You Can Hear This: Poems in Protest of An American. Inauguration (2017), A Map Called Home (2018) and A World that Belongs to Us: An Anthology of Queer Poetry from South Asia (2020). As a commitment toward public conversations, they interview activists and artists for their podcast, Queerness and Storytelling in India.
