The official podcast of the Queer and Trans Research Lab at the Bonham Centre, University of Toronto. Episode 5

In episode 5, Elliott sits down with Dr. Jordache Ellapen, one of our Martha LA McCain Faculty Research Fellows here at the QTRL. The pair discuss Dr. Ellapen’s upcoming book project, tentatively titled Against Afronormativity: Afro-Indian Intimacies and the Queer Aesthetics of Race in South Africa, which examines Afro-Indian intimacies and the shifting nature of South African Blackness through a queer studies lens.

Transcending Love: Rings & Tingz” is a community-led project seeking to examine the experiences of African, Caribbean, and Black Transwomen in Canada who are Single, Dating, or Married.
