DESCRIPTION:“Has the queer ever been human?”. This panel explores the q
 uestion  from the special issue of GLQ: A Journal of Gay and Lesbian Stud
 ies of the same name. The panelists\, each contributors to the special  i
 ssue\, will interrogate the centrality of the human to the past\,  presen
 t and future of queer theory. The panel will examine the queer dimensions 
 of recent moves to think through the encounter between queerness and the i
 nhuman in affect theory\, disability studies\, ecocriticism\, critical rac
