Undergraduate Program

The SDS undergraduate program, created in 1998, now offers a Specialist (requiring 10 full course equivalents), a Major (requiring 6 full course equivalents), and a Minor (requiring 4). Among the core and optional courses within these programs are interdisciplinary courses offered by SDS itself (listed as University College courses, with a UNI designator).

Students then may choose from courses offered in a wide range of other departments and programs in the humanities and social sciences, including English, Political Science, Women’s Studies, History, Medieval Studies, Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Criminology, Education, Visual Studies, Social Work, East Asian Studies, Linguistics, Aboriginal Studies, and Biology.
