Jessica Martin is a Master of Museum Studies candidate in the Faculty of Information and a student in the Sexual Diversity Studies Collaborative Specialization. Jessica graduated from McMaster University with an Honours BA in Classics and Art History. She has worked extensively in the cultural heritage sphere with special interest in collections management and conservation methodology. Jessica’s experience in this sector includes work at both the Art Gallery of Hamilton and the McMaster Museum of Art, and most recently as an assistant curator for the Archiving Public Sex exhibition held at the University of Toronto Arts Centre in the spring of 2014. Her work with the Sexual Representation Collection Archive led to experience with curatorial, collections, and archiving facets of Museum Studies. Jessica’s further research focuses on sexuality and gender representation in Classical Greco-Roman art and literature.
