Iradele Plante is a sex educator in spirit and a public health researcher by trade. She’s interested in the role that the internet can have for sexual health and health literacy, and has been fortunate enough to explore this intersection in both academic and community contexts in Canada, the United States and the Netherlands. During her studies, Iradele joined Re:Searching for LGBTQ Health, a research team that looks at how LGBTQ people experience physical and emotional health and how they access services. She’s also had the opportunity to work with theOntario HIV Treatment Network, AIDS Community Care Montreal, The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health and Head & Hands. She identifies as a bisexual women, a White settler and a survivor of sexual violence. iradele.plante@gmail.com
