Sarah Schulman

Sarah Schulman is the author of 17 books of fiction, nonfiction and plays including TIES THAT BIND: Familial Homophobia and Its Consequences, The Gentrification of the Mind: Witness to a Lost Imagination, The Mere Future (novel) and Israel/Palestine and The Queer International. With Jim Hubbard, she is co-director of the ACT UP Oral History Project (www.actuporalhistory.org) and the feature documentary film UNITED IN ANGER: A History of ACT UP. Sarah is Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at the City University of New York and a Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities at New York University.
