 Queer & Trans Communities
DESCRIPTION:The Sexual &amp\; Gender Diversity Office and the Mark S. Bonha
 m Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies join the University of Toronto in 
 mourning lives lost to violence and hatred at the recent shooting at Club 
 Q in Colorado Springs. We are together in our grief\, fatigue\, and anger.
  And we are together as we denounce homophobia\, transphobia\, racism\, an
 d all forms of hate and discrimination.\n\nAll 2SLGBTQ+ students\, staff\,
  faculty and librarians from U of T’s three campuses are invited to join
  us in creating a healing community space together.\n\nCommunity Gathering
  Space: Navigating Grief In Queer &amp\; Trans Communities\n\nWith Guest F
 acilitator Billy J. Choi-Gekas\n\nWednesday November 30\, 2022\n\n12:00pm 
 -1:00pm\n\nZoom Registration: uoft.me/navigating-grief\n\nIn this 1-hour
  workshop\, Billy will share some teaching and practices around navigating
  both individual and collective grief\, especially in response to tragic l
 oss in our communities\, as we remember our queer and trans siblings lost 
 in Colorado Springs. Billy will offer from both their Medical Qigong and Y
 oga traditions\, and will facilitate discussion and embodied practices tha
 t can support participants through a grieving process. All bodies and expe
 rience levels welcome.\n\nBilly J. Choi-Gekas (they/them) is a Nonbinary\
 , Queer\, mixed-race Settler from Tkaronto. They are the Circulation Super
 visor for the John W. Graham Library at Trinity College\, University of To
 ronto\, and the Chair of the “Inclusivity\, Diversity\, Equity\, AntiRac
 ism'' (IDEAR) Committee of the University of Toronto Libraries. They serve
  on the Board of Directors for Toronto Urban Native Ministry\, and has a p
 rivate practice as a wholistic practitioner and anti-oppression consultant
 \, working with individuals and communities\, as well as numerous social j
 ustice\, Queer\, and interreligious organizations across Canada. You can f
