SUMMARY:Pivotal Art Movements of Kensington Market: CEAC and ChromaZone
DESCRIPTION:Kensington Market Historical Society and Koffler Arts are proud
  to co-present talks by distinguished artists Bruce Eves and Andy Fabo.\n\
 nEves was an integral member of CEAC\, the Centre for Experimental Art and
  Communication (1976–1978)\, which had its roots in the\nKensington Art 
 Association (1973–1978). Fabo was one of six emerging Canadian artists w
 ho created and exhibited in Toronto as ChromaZone/Chromatique Collective (
 1981–1985)\, also situated in Kensington Market.\n\nBoth speakers will d
 iscuss their personal involvement in CEAC and ChromaZone\, and will highli
 ght the significant and lasting contributions of these artist-run collecti
 ves in Toronto’s contemporary art scene.\n\nThis talk is presented in ho
 nour of National Coming Out Day (Friday\, October 11\, 2024) as both artis
 ts have been producing unabashedly gay themed art from their earliest days
 .
