 ic Asians is opening soon at The ArQuives—don’t miss this community-ro
 oted project\, funded by the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity St
 udies! Attend the opening night of the exhibition on May 29th\, 2025\, 6-8
 pm. Refreshments will be provided.\n\nDid you know that The ArQuives is 
 Canada’s largest LGBTQ2+ archives\, dedicated to preserving the historie
 s of queer and trans communities? Each year\, the Curatorial Committee org
 anizes a spring exhibition that highlights different aspects of LGBTQ2S+ l
 ife. The Committee is excited to announce this year’s exhibition\, Of K
 in and Other Impossible Homes.\n\nThis exhibition centers trans and gender
 -diverse individuals from across the Asian diaspora in Canada\, highlighti
 ng the ways that connection\, care\, and belonging have been built beyond 
 traditional notions of family and kinship. Visitors will encounter persona
 l photographs\, zines\, textiles\, archival ephemera\, audio recordings\, 
 and multimedia artworks that speak to a reimagining of what home can be—
 and always has been—for queer and trans Asians. Find out more informatio

  is on May 29th\, 6-8pm at The ArQuives (34 Isabella St)\, and the galle
 ry is open for public viewing on Fridays 4-8pm\, Saturdays 11am-3pm\, and 
 Sundays 11am-3pm\, or by appointment on other days (email curatorial@arqui
 ves.ca). Can’t make the opening night? Don’t worry! The exhibition wil
 l be on view until July 11th\, 2025*\, and programming will take place bot
 h in-person and online throughout the summer.\n\n\n*The exhibit is closed 
 on Saturday\, June 28th and Sunday\, June 29th.
